Information for Traders

TIMINGS
Arrival

We have access to the venue from 8am. You may arrive any time after 8am. If you arrive bang on 08:00, please be patient with the volunteers if we can’t get to you immediately.
If you will need help unloading your vehicle, please make note of this when you fill out your “Collecting your Information” form.
You need to be set up and ready to trade by 10:00 when the doors open to the public. A volunteer will come round to issue you with your wristband(s).

Market Closing and Pack Down
Closing time for the market will be 16:30.
You can begin packing up at 16:30 and we need everyone clear by 18:00. Please do not start packing down early as this tends to create a domino effect.
Be aware that from 17:00, volunteers will be resetting the furniture in the space.

Evening Programme
The evening programme starts at 19:00. Your day passes include access to all of the evening events. We hope you’ll stick around and enjoy the rest of the day.

PARKING
The address for the venue is: Clevedon Community Centre, Princes Hall, 2 Princes Road, Clevedon, BS21 7SZ
There are carparks front and rear, and you can use either to unload. There will be volunteers on hand to direct you.
Because the parking at Princes Hall is quite limited, please could you unload and then move your car off site. Ideally, all traders’ vehicles need to be offsite by 9:30.
There is lots of street parking on the surrounding roads. There is also free parking in the two North Somerset Council car parks on Great Western Road, which is about a 10 to 15-minute walk back.
If you’re a blue badge holder, (and completed your “Collecting your Information” form), check on arrival if we have  been able to reserve a space for you in the onsite carpark.

VOLUNTEER TEAMS
Chrissey Harrison is volunteer team leader, plus there will be a number of traders also acting as volunteers who will have access to things like the table plan, Wi-Fi code, and emergency procedures and contact numbers. They will also be the ones to talk to if you need someone to watch your stall while you take a break.
The WELCOME TEAM will be based at the Box Office desk near the entrance and will direct you when you arrive. They will be able to help you if you need assistance unloading your vehicle.
Other teams will be overseeing other rooms. Just look out for anyone wearing a Clevedon Litfest badge.

Wi-Fi
There is Wi-Fi at the venue and you will be provided with the password on arrival.

Power
We cannot guarantee access to power sockets. If you desperately need to charge a phone or card machine, speak to one of our volunteers.

Tables, chairs and tablecloths
Tables and chairs are provided by the venue. If you have booked a 6ft table, you will get a 6ft trestle table. If you have booked a 3ft table, you will either get a standalone 3ft table, or half of a 6ft trestle table. There are plenty of chairs.

Tablecloths are NOT provided. Please bring your own if you can.

Banners and displays
You’re welcome to bring free-standing banners or table front banners. You will need to bring anything you need to affix these. Please do not stick anything to the walls unless you have obtained permission from us in advance.
